Dr Andrew Iles, Consultant Psychiatrist. Our friendly, multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of professionals including psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, approved mental health professionals (AMHPs) and community psychiatric nurses (CPNs). Our team works closely with our Community Mental Health Recovery Services and our Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit in Surrey. We work with people to set goals for their discharge shortly after admission to ensure they only stay in hospital for as long as they need to and that they are well prepared for their discharge with the necessary support in place to help their recovery. Our team tries to ensure people are admitted to hospital as close to home as possible. We reach out to people in the community and where necessary support them through admission and discharge to low, medium and high secure inpatient beds. 
This involves providing personalised care based on the needs of the individual, and proactively supporting people to develop purpose in their lives including finding voluntary work or paid employment and resolving housing issues. We co-ordinate the care of people in the community who are under a restriction order of the Mental Health Act.
The Forensic Outreach and Liaison Service is a specialist service for people with a mental health condition who pose a serious risk of harm to others.
